END OF TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED?

Postby Soundwave » Thu May 28, 2009 3:34 pm

With the new 2009 movie and toy line coming out, Hasbro has canceled Season four of Transformers Animated, to not have Internal competition between it's toylines.

transformers shows never seem to make it much past three seasons do they?

Hopefully there will be a follow up series due to the large amount of loose ends!

so make like a tree and leaf some comments  ......THAT JOKE WAS TERRIBLE!

So here's what I think...

I think the Animated line will remain alive till at least Transformer 3 for two reasons:

Reason #1 - There is so much interest and buzz around the movie figures that people are snatching up the Classics 2.0 & Animated figures too

Reason #2 - There is a rumor going around that the Discovery Channel and Hasbro are planning to team up to make a Hasbro Cartoon Channel (or something like that). If Hasbro has their own channel, not only will Transformers never die, but, GI JOE & My Little Pony WILL COME BACK TO LIFE!!!!!!

Peace.

I actually was very impressed with this series. I felt it was the best cartoon since G1. And I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE The Toys! Shockey man, you gotta get your hands on that Animated Shockwave/Longarm Repaint...IT'S PURPLE MAN!

First of all -- this is my first post here. Thanks for inviting me over!

Like many, I grew up with G1. Unlike hard core G1 collectors, I really have enough G1 in my collection that collecting Beast Wars, Animated, and the newer toys fulfills my interest in the genre. I really prefer to meet the people behind the scenes and interact with the new stories.

I was posting frequently on another website (which shall remain nameless) until the one forum user started discouraging people from Animated. So ok, it's not everyone's cup of tea. But shutting down the forum because you don't like it doesn't mean its fair to everyone. So I am glad Sabertron is not only supporting Animated but also has many forums dedicated to the other series.

Looking forward to discussing the DVDs when they come out. Also looking forward to watching the other TF series I have yet to see in completion and discussing in the other forums.

We don't know if Hasbro is going to bring back TFA in another form in the future or even find a way to do a fourth season with a new title on both Cartoon Network (CN) and the new DiscHas network. Yu-gi-oh! and Pokemon have shared homes before with Cartoon Network and The WB! (which was challenging even for "sister" networks under the same company!), and 4Kids Entertainment has brought back Kirby: Right Back At Ya! and Sonic X despite changing from Fox to The CW.

Until next time, let's enjoy and celebrate what TFA did do during its time. Heck, if Ren and Stimpy could come back several times from the dead -- and so has many other cult favorites -- why not one or more of the Transformers series. Let's not kick dirt on the grave until Hasbro has declared it dead. Furthermore, Japan has yet to get it, so we may eventually get some really cool new figures if and when it's released there!

Don't forget to tell Fun Pub that we want next year's set to be Animated focus -- only if it's something you want too. =)

I have a feeling that when the Hasbro / Discovery merger gets finalized, we will be seeing the following series:

Transformers Animated (Returns):
Transformers the Movie (3D Beast Wars style or Cartoon):
TRANSFORMERS G1 EPISODES IN HD!!!!!!!!!!!!

An animated Botcon theme for 2010 would be cool. I would LOVE to see Animated repaints with a Botcon theme!

How about a Starscream Ultimate 6 pack? It contains Starscream and all of the clone repaints! WOW YUMMY! HOW MUCH? THE BIDDING STARTS AT $600!
